The Praia do Guincho (or Guincho Beach) is located not far from the small town of Cascais (6km). It is also easily and quickly accessible by transport from Lisbon.
On the western side of Lisbon is the beautiful stretch of sand called Praia do Guincho. Arriving from Lisbon, after a while you can't miss it. It is located inside the Serra de Sintra National Park, a beautiful and vast natural park.
From the road, you can park not far from the big and not very aesthetic building. But the best thing to do is to continue a few meters and leave your car in the natural parking lot on the left. The building is then far enough away from us and we can admire the wild view and the waves crashing.
This beach is ideal for the professional surfers but really not for the beginners. Indeed, its waves are very powerful and really impressive.
